CM inquired about Tripura students studying in Manipur

AGARTALA:

Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Thursday inquired about the students of the state studying in Manipur.

The recent unrest in Manipur has come to the notice of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. In this context, the Chief Minister has inquired about the students of the state studying in RIMS and other colleges of Manipur. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the state administration inquired about the students studying in various colleges of Manipur.

Soon after CM’s intervention, the officials of the Manipur government also assured the Tripura government to keep the students of Tripura safe.

Moreover, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Director of Tripura Directorate of Health Education, HP Sharma spoke to the principal of RIMS over the telephone.

During the conversation, the Principal of RIMS informed that the students of Tripura studying over there are safe and secure.

16th Finance Commission team to visit Tripura on Jan 29

The 16th Finance Commission headed by Chairman Arvind Panagariya would hold a series of meetings simultaneously with the Tripura government and various stakeholders such as political parties, rural and urban local bodies, and representatives of trade, Industries, and Commerce here during its four-day visit to the state from Wednesday, an official said.
