Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today visited the Swami Vivekananda Maidan to inspect the preparedness of oath taking ceremony of the new cabinet.
During the inspection, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, NE BJP Coordinator Sambit Patra, DGP Amitabha Ranjan, Chief Secretary JK Sinha was present along with CM Dr Saha.
After inspection, the CM said, “On 8th March the oath taking ceremony of new cabinet would take place at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. In 2018 the oath taking ceremony took place at Assam Rifles ground and this time it will be held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National president is arriving along with all India leaders and other Chief Ministers of the state. Following this we along with DG and CS arrived here to inspect the preparedness”.
