The State government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has taken another significant decision to procure 35,000 metric tons of paddy from farmers.
This decision reflects the positive and proactive role played by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha in ensuring the welfare and support of the farming community in our state.
Since 2018, the state government has consistently prioritized the well-being of farmers. With the procurement of 1.71 lakh MT of paddy thus far, the government has spent an impressive sum of Rs 327 crores, demonstrating its commitment to uplifting the agricultural sector and improving the lives of farmers.
To facilitate this process, over 40 procurement centers will be established across the state, allowing farmers convenient access to the government's support.
The Chief Minister's decision to allocate Rs 85 crore from the state government's budget towards this procurement further highlights the government's dedication to the prosperity of the agricultural community.
The procurement process would commence by 10th July which showcases the Chief Minister's efficient and proactive approach to implementing policies that directly benefit the farmers, who are the backbone of our economy.
