Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Monday slammed the CPIM and Congress for engaging in politics driven by their own vested interests, while ignoring the issues faced by the people in the state.
Dr. Saha said this while participating in an election meeting organized by the 6-Agartala Mandal in front of the Radhanagar motor stand.
During the event, Dr. Saha inaugurated three election booth offices at booth number 24 under Barjala Mandal, 6-Agartala Mandal, and in 8-Town Bardowali.
"CPIM and Congress never work for the people; they work for their own vested interests. They do not prioritize the welfare of the people or the country, but BJP always keeps the country and its people in mind. Elections may come and go, but time will reveal the truth. I can confidently say that significant changes will occur in the 6-Agartala Assembly Constituency in the coming days. No one can sustain politics solely through tricks and deceit," said Dr. Saha.
He highlighted that many people are unaware of PM Modi’s development schemes and stressed that PM Modi always guarantees progress.
"We must ensure that people benefit from all these development schemes. He always works for the people, and so does our government. In the past, elections were often marred by violence, but we have demonstrated that elections can be conducted peacefully. Not a single act of violence occurred during the 2023 Assembly election. We have instructed everyone that there will be no irregularities during the elections and aim to set an example of a model election. However, CPIM has been known for their systematic rigging, for which they used to boast. Our BJP-led government always strives to work for the betterment of the people," added Dr. Saha.
On this day, inspired by the development initiatives and good governance, 124 voters from the opposition camp joined the Bharatiya Janata Party under Barjala Mandal, a move welcomed by the Chief Minister.
