Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday criticized the CPIM for misleading people with promises of 'golden days' and leaving a debt burden of Rs 13,000 crore on the state.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is consistently working for the overall development of the country. The nation is growing stronger under his capable leadership. On the contrary, people are being misled by the INDI alliance. The CPIM promised golden days, but instead, they burdened us with Rs 13,000 crore in debt, while the Prime Minister gifted us the HIRA model,” he stated.
Dr. Saha said this while addressing an election rally at Jubaraj Nagar in the North district in support of BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma for the East Tripura Lok Sabha election on April 26.
The rally was jointly organized by Jubarajnagar Mandal and Bagbasa Mandal.
Dr. Saha emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, stating it's crucial for electing Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third time.
“This election isn't just for the next five years. It's about realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Vikshit Bharat by 2047. We all witness how Prime Minister Modi is tirelessly working for the nation's progress. His philanthropic endeavors are recognized globally,” Dr. Saha asserted.
The Chief Minister highlighted the transformation in the country since 2014, contrasting it with the previous government's tenure characterized by corruption and instability.
Dr. Saha also criticized the opposition for their attempts to mislead the public, stating that they lack substantial issues to present before the people.
“The primary aim of the INDI alliance is to deceive the people. The CPIM promised a golden age, yet when we came into power in 2018, we discovered the communists had left us with a debt burden of around Rs 13 thousand crore. The promised golden age was never realized,” he remarked.
