With an aim to gift two lotuses to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya on Monday sounded poll bugle for the 2024 Lok Sabha election during party’s ‘Karyakarini Baithak’ held at Charilam Higher Secondary School in Sepahijala district.
After a daylong meeting, the Chief Minister told reporters that in today’s Karyakarini Baithak, the leaders of the party focused especially on the Lok Sabha election.
“Every year BJP organizes its Karyakarini Baithak and this time it is not exceptional. However this time we have held discussion on some other subjects. In this meeting we focused on the Lok Sabha election and nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We have also held discussion on booth empowerment and we are working on strengthening 3328 booths with an aim of party’s victory. Following the Lok Sabha election we are focusing on strengthening booths. We have also held discussions on the present political condition and activities of other political parties”, said the Chief Minister.
The CM has also expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for working tirelessly for the development of common people by introducing various beneficiary schemes, flagship schemes.
“We will organize a mega outreach program to inform people about various centrally sponsored schemes for the benefit of people which the Prime Minister has introduced. I want to thank PM Modi because of his HIRA Model, Tripura is witnessing a massive wave of development under Act east policy. We have never imagined such a huge number of national highways, more than 10 express trains, and we have the third strongest internet gateway. Because of PM Modi all this work was possible. He always wants the welfare of people. Our Tripura government is also working following the path of PM Modi. Party and government is working in close collaboration”, said CM Saha.
During the meeting, former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, MP Rebati Tripura, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, other cabinet ministers and BJP state leaders were present.
