Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today chaired a review meeting of the Food and civil supply department of the state government and directed the officials to work on a move to provide a smooth rationing system.
In the meeting apart from the Chief Minister, the Minister of the Food and civil supply department Sushanta Chowdhury was also present.
On this day CM Dr Saha said, “Today, I presided over the review meeting of the Department of Food and Consumer Affairs at the conference hall of the Secretariat. It informs about the amount of stock of essential products for the benefit of the last person of society. Besides, we give necessary advice to the concerned officials in order to keep the ongoing rationing system smooth”.
Later, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, “Today, I participated in an important review meeting of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha in Conference Hall No. 2 of the Secretariat. In the presence of senior officials, the Chief Minister of the state was informed about the various issues related to the Department of Food Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, the ongoing activities of the Department, the future course of action, and various problems”.
Sushanta further said that during the meeting the Chief Minister gave necessary suggestions to strengthen the public distribution system in the entire state with joint efforts of all and to bring more dynamics to the work of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in the entire state for the overall development of all including the consumers.
Today's review meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of Tripura Government Puneet Agarwal, Chief Minister's Secretary Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Food Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Director of Food Department Nirmal Adhikari, Additional Director Animesh Debbarma and other deputy officers of the department.
