CM urges for peaceful by election, appeals to follow Assembly poll success

AGARTALA:

Following the triumph of the 2023 Assembly elections, Tripura's Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, has issued a heartfelt plea to the residents of the upcoming by-election constituencies, urging them to maintain the high standard of peaceful and well-organized elections established by the people of Tripura.

The by-elections are currently underway in the Dhanpur and Boxanagar Assembly constituencies, both situated in Tripura's Sepahijala district. By 11 AM, the voter turnout had already exceeded 21%.

In a message posted on Facebook, CM Dr. Saha affirmed that the electoral processes for Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituencies had officially commenced. He implored the residents of these two constituencies to participate with a sense of celebration, exercising their democratic rights. Furthermore, he encouraged both constituencies to uphold the precedent set by the people of Tripura during the 2023 assembly elections, emphasizing the importance of conducting these by-elections in a peaceful and orderly manner.
