Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha visited the National Sanskrit University in Lembucherra, West District, as part of the 'Vikas Tirtha' program. Expressing admiration for the institution's dedication to preserving Vedic culture, the CM highlighted the comprehensive curriculum that includes BA, MA, Ph.D, and classes XI and XII.
To commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 9 years in office, the 'Vikas Tirtha' program was launched, featuring a month-long series of events from May 30th to June 30th. The program aims to showcase PM Modi's development initiatives across the country, with a special focus on his philanthropic endeavors.
During his visit, the CM expressed his delight at the opportunity to explore the National Sanskrit University, praising its impressive infrastructure. He mentioned that students from various backgrounds, including the Janajati section and those from outside the state, have chosen to study at the institution. He described the university as a cultural pillar and commended its efforts in preserving Vedic traditions.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were former MLA Krishnadhan Das, BJP state secretary Ratan Ghosh, spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharya, and other party leaders.
The Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala, is a prestigious institution accredited with an A++ Grade by NAAC. It is part of the Educational Hub in Tripura and is one of the 13 campuses of the Central Sanskrit University established in 2013.
