Along with the rest of the nation, Tripura on Thursday observed Parikram Diwas to honour the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose through a series of programmes.
Like every year, this year too, the colourful tableaus of Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan school here at Agartala rolled over the streets of the capital town and captivated all with its dazzling display of culture and heritage.
Chief minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the program organized at Netaji School in presence of Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, Corporator Ratna Dutta, teachers and other officials.
Addressing the gathering of students and teachers, the Chief Minister Dr Saha lauded Netaji's patriotism and his indelible contributions to India's freedom struggle as a source of enduring inspiration. Dr Saha urged the students to follow the ideology of Netaji and understand his struggles and undying love for Mother India.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the significant announcement made by Prime Minister Modi in 2021, designating Netaji Jayanti as ‘Parakram Diwas’ to honour Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Meanwhile, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Thursday paid floral tributes to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose here at Agartala Maharajganj Market and emphasized Netaji's unwavering patriotism and his pivotal role in India's freedom struggle, acknowledging his enduring influence on the nation's spirit.
