Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday took a dig at the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party over unleashing terror tactics in Tripura during the past elections and claimed that the PM Modi-led government has shown real democracy with violence-free elections.
Addressing a party gathering at Belonia Rajnagar on Friday, CM Dr Saha said, “We have seen in the past how the CPI(M) and Congress during the last 35 years had unleashed terror tactics across the state in elections. Now they speak about democracy, which was under attack during their tenure.”
“In West Bengal we have seen TMC being the carbon copy of Congress and CPI(M), where democracy is under attack. People wanted change in West Bengal like that of Tripura. West Bengal is presently reeling under an odd situation under the rule of TMC,” he said, claiming that in this election BJP will score a majority seat in West Bengal.
He said, “We have shown real democracy in Tripura through the 2023 assembly election, where a completely violence free election was conducted.”
He also mocked the I.N.D.I.A bloc strategy and said, “The A went missing from I.N.D.I.A bloc and gradually every alphabet will be diminished.”
