DGP ensures proper security for peaceful Durga Puja

AGARTALA:

Director General of Police, Amitabh Ranjan, assured on Friday that all necessary measures are in place to ensure a peaceful celebration of Durga Puja throughout the state.


DGP Ranjan conducted visits to several police stations in Gomati and Sepahijala districts to assess their readiness and operations ahead of the festivities.


Speaking to the media, he expressed confidence in the dedication of the Tripura Police force.

"My team is highly motivated. With Durga Puja approaching and post-election activities ongoing, I am inspecting police stations to ensure everything is in order. I take great pride in my police force, and they are working diligently and fearlessly to maintain peace. I am confident this effort will continue smoothly in the coming days," said DGP Ranjan.

He further stated that police personnel have been strategically deployed across the state to uphold law and order.

"Despite facing challenges, we are committed to maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. We have put several plans in place for Durga Puja, including increased patrolling and security checks. I am optimistic that this year's festivities will be both peaceful and well-organized," he added.
