Doctors of GBP Hospital perform critical surgery, removes 11kg tumour

AGARTALA:

Specialist doctors of Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital successfully removed a tumour weighing 11 kg from the stomach of a woman.

The woman named Nisarani Debbarma, 45 years old from Dhuraicherra area of the Dhalai district, was suffering from various problems in her lower abdomen for many days.

But due to financial weakness, the family members could not get better treatment for the woman. Then the family members of the woman, after knowing about the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Card, decided to take the woman to Agartala GB Hospital for better treatment they have Ayushman card.

They came to GB Pant and sought help from the doctors in the hospital's outpatient department.

Then the doctors transferred the patient to the obstetrics and gynaecology department after various tests. After seeing the report of the ancillary tests, the specialist doctors decided to undergo a quick surgery on the woman.

Recently, a team led by Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. JL Baidya of AGMC & GBP Hospital successfully removed a tumour weighing 11 kg from the abdomen of a patient through surgery.

Dr. Aparajita Pal, Dr. Amit Pal, Anaesthesiologist Dr. Bidhan Das, etc. were in the said team. The staff nurse was Prantika Burman. The doctors recently discharged the patient as she was healthy and normal after the surgery. The family members of the patient expressed their gratitude to the doctors for facilitating this successful surgery at AGMC and GBP Hospitals in the state.
