Drawing Competition for Dibyangan marks eve of I-Day in city

AGARTALA:

In a heartwarming event held on the eve of the 78th Independence Day, the Vidya Welfare Society in collaboration with Reva, organized a special sit-down drawing competition for Dibyangajan, promoting the mantra "See Ability, Not Disability."

The event took place at 11 a.m. on August 13 near the Vidya Welfare Society office adjacent to the RMS Chowmuhani petrol pump.

A total of 30 participants, categorized into three groups based on their abilities showcased their artistic talents in the competition.

The initiative aimed to empower children from this special section of society providing them with an opportunity to express them creatively. At the conclusion of the event, certificates were awarded to all participants, acknowledging their efforts and contributions.

The organizers believe that this competition not only touched the hearts of the children but also delivered a powerful message of inclusion and hope for the future.

Vidya Welfare Society expressed its gratitude to everyone who participated and supported this noble initiative ensuring that the event was a success and provided a heavenly experience for the children involved.

BJP Janjati Morcha slams CPIM’s tribal wing

The Janjati Morcha, the tribal wing of Tripura’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly criticized the Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP), the tribal wing of the opposition CPI(M), for accusing the government of neglecting indigenous communities. The BJP leaders dismissed the allegations as baseless and labeled GMP’s planned Raj Bhawan Abhiyan on January 9 as a futile exercise.
