The state Animal Resource Development Department Minister Sudhangshu Das on Monday chaired a review meeting of his department in Khowai district and interacted with the officials to check the implementation of the developmental schemes.
During the meeting, the minister said that fishery and animal husbandry have potential to generate employment opportunities for the unemployed youths of the state. The officials should also make efforts to encourage the youths for self-employment in the sectors of fishery and animal husbandry.
“To increase the production of fish, meat and eggs in the state, the bakers should be encouraged and made aware about the various schemes of the department,” he said.
