The Border Security Force deployed in Tripura have detained two suspected Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian touts whiles crossing international border illegally.
As per BSF, on 16 July early morning on specific information, Special patrolling party of Nischintpur Border Out Post located in West District of Tripura, apprehended one Bangladeshi national (male) and one Indian tout (male) in general area of Nischintpur while they were trying to cross over the border from India to Bangladesh side.
The Bangladeshi national identified as Atiqur Rahman (48) a resident of Brahmanabaria district of Bangladesh while the suspected Indian tout identified as Arabinda Das (54) a resident of Assam.
The BSF further said that in another case today at about BSF AHTU (Anti Human Trafficking Unit) along with Government Railway Police apprehended One Bangladeshi National and One Indian national (Tout) from Agartala.
The Bangladeshi National identified as Rinku chandra Das (18) who is resident of Chittagang of the neighboring country whilesuspected Indian tout identified as Royal Das (27) of West Bengal.
“Questioning of apprehended persons is in progress. BSF has stepped up its drive against such illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and all field formations are actively breaking down the nexus of touts in the bordering areas”, said a BSF official.
