The district administration of Gomati district has taken an initiative of a mega plantation drive of planting 1 lakh saplings in 5 minutes to be held on July 5.
The District Magistrate of Gomati district Tarit Kanti Chakma held a meeting with the concerned officials in the conference hall of the DM Office on Friday and informed that all the Gram Panchayats, Village Councils Amrit Sarovar Ponds, Schools, Colleges, District Hospital, Sub Divisional Hospital, CHCs, PHCs, Health Sub centers, CLFs offices, Horticulture Nurseries, BSF BOPs, TSR Battalions, Police Outpost, clubs, Private Schools, Anganwadi centers, Fire Service offices, Tehsil offices, will be a part of the campaign on July 5 next.
Meanwhile, the DM on Friday also chaired a meeting to review installation of CNG gas stations in the district.
MLA Sanjoy Manik Tripura, SDMs, TNGCL officials, IOCL officials and representatives of Auto Sramik Union, Syndicate of Udaipur and Karbook and field officials attended the meeting.
Multiple issues were discussed in the meeting including operation of new CNG station in Karbook, CNG mother station at Khilpara, option of creating a new petrol pump in Karbook Subdivision, water and toilet facilities in CNG stations and others.
