Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Tuesday visited the state’s most attractive tourist destinations in Narikel Kunja in Dhalai Tripura district and assessed the tourist facilities in the destination.
During his visit the Governor suggested the government build more cottages in the destination so as to attract more tourists in Narikel Kunja and ease their stay.
In a meeting with the officials at Narikel Kunja, the Governor directed officials to encourage employment opportunities for the local youths by taking advantage of various Central Government schemes. He interacted with members of self-help groups working at tourist centers.
District Magistrate of Gomti District Tarit Kanti Chakma welcomed the Governor when he reached Mandir Ghat before his arrival to Narikel Kunja. On reaching Narikel Kunja, the Governor received guard of honor by the Police of Dhalai District. Additional District Magistrate of Dhalai District Vivek H.B, and SP of Dhalai District Avinash Roy welcomed the Governor. Gomti District Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak and Director of Tourism Department Tapan Kumar Das accompanied the Governor on his visit to Narikel Kunja.
