Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu undertook a multifaceted visit today, starting with a tour of the Yakubnagar-based Border Security Force (BSF) Border Outpost (BOP) in Dharmanagar.
Accompanied by BSF DIG MP Singh and 139 Battalion Commander AK Guleria, the Governor was accorded a guard of honor during his visit, where he interacted with BSF jawans and officers.
The Governor praised the BSF for its crucial role in border protection, with officers providing detailed briefings on their responsibilities and showcasing various weapons used by the force.
Later in the day, Governor Nallu explored the Dharmanagar Super Market, engaging with local traders. He was welcomed by Pradyut De Sarkar, Chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council.
Continuing his itinerary, Governor visited the Brajendranagar Primary Health Center in Kadamtala Block. He familiarized himself with the services offered and interacted with patients at the health center. The Governor also inspected an innovative water supply plant under construction at Jal Jeevan Mission in the block.
In an effort to support education and empowerment, Governor initiated the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program at Satsang High School in Ranibari. Land leases and certificates were distributed to tea plantation workers, furthering the cause of socio-economic development.
The Governor engaged with women from various self-help groups at the conference hall in Kadamtala block, where an exhibition showcased products from these groups. Notably, Governor Nallu explored the potential conversion of agar processing centers into tourist attractions, emphasizing the need for local development initiatives.
Accompanied by Governor's Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma, North Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan and other officials, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu's comprehensive visit underscored his commitment to understanding local issues, acknowledging the contributions of security forces, and fostering community development.
