Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Cha Prokolpo Scheme’, 1910 tea worker families in the state have so far been allotted free land through the revenue department for housing.
Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department Puneet Agarwal announced this news in a press conference today.
Highlighting the success of the Revenue Department in the press conference, the Chief Secretary said that the construction of various administrative buildings was undertaken in the financial year 2022-23 to strengthen the revenue department of the state. Among these, the North Tripura District Magistrate Office Building, Sonamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate's Office and 112 Tehsil Kacharis are currently being improved and for which Rs 50 crore 42 lakh will be spent for this.
Moreover, construction of 42 new Tehsil Kachari offices was undertaken in the state during the financial year 2022-23. Construction work of 20 Tehsil Kacharis has already been completed.
The Chief Secretary said that 5 construction works have been undertaken in the Special Assistance to State Scheme in the financial year 2023-24. The works include construction of office complex of South Tripura District Magistrate Office, Sabroom Sub-Divisional Magistrate Office Building, Kumarghat Sub-Division Magistrate Office Building, Kailashahar Sub-Division Magistrate Office Building and 38 new Tehsil Kachari Office Buildings. Rs 78 crore 40 lakhs will be spent for all these construction works.
