Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that the present state government is moving forward with a commitment to serve the people and work for their welfare, ensuring transparency in all areas.
Dr. Saha said this after listening to the 119th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat at Booth No. 9 under the Badharghat Assembly Constituency.
"Mann Ki Baat is a matter of great pride for us. Through this program, we gain insights into the entire nation. In today’s episode, the Prime Minister discussed key issues such as India's progress in AI and space research, the special significance of International Women's Day, and the achievements of Indian athletes in the National Games. Every last Sunday of the month, we gather to listen to the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat. No other country in the world has witnessed a Prime Minister engaging with the people so closely. However, our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it possible. He has highlighted various national issues while fostering an unparalleled connection with the common people," he said.
The Chief Minister pointed out that earlier, many people were unaware of Tripura. However, during the Pariksha Pe Charcha program, the Prime Minister had an extensive conversation with a student from Belonia, Tripura.
"That boy represented Tripura exceptionally well before the Prime Minister. Upon hearing about Tripura, the Prime Minister displayed a distinct sense of emotion. Today, he also spoke about satellites such as Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan, developed during his tenure. If we cultivate an interest in science, we can inspire our children to pursue it. Additionally, the Prime Minister touched upon AI or Artificial Intelligence," said the Chief Minister.
During the discussion, Dr. Saha also mentioned that the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of physical exercise in maintaining good health and spoke about India's preparations for the Olympics.
He further stated that Mann Ki Baat highlighted the significance of maintaining ecological balance.
"Seventy percent of Tripura is covered with forests, which provides us with an abundance of oxygen. As a result, our environment is far better than many other places. I also take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to students appearing for secondary and higher secondary examinations this year. Mann Ki Baat is a source of immense pride for us, as it brings forth several crucial topics. Through this program, we gain valuable knowledge about the entire nation, and this has been made possible by our renowned Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today’s episode has been enlightening. Our government is dedicated to working for the people and ensuring their welfare, and we must uphold transparency in all areas," he added.
BJP state secretary and Mann Ki Baat program in-charge Ratan Ghosh, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Sadar Urban District President Ashim Bhattacharya, Mandal President, Corporator Bapi Das, and other functionaries were present at the program.
