Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday attended the District Level Workshop on the 4th National Conference of Chief Secretaries' deliberations at Rajarshi Hall, in Udaipur and said that government is committed to implementing key takeaways for the welfare of the people of Tripura.
Addressing the conference, the Chief Minister said that the government officials are the driving force in the development of the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to build a developed India, he said, adding that team Tripura should be formed to develop the state like Prime Minister's Team India to build a developed India.
He said, “Team Tripura must work together for overall development of the state. Development program should not be restricted only through Powerpoint presentations. All the facilities of the government should be delivered to the people so that the common people get the benefits.”
He said that e-offices have been launched in various gram panchayats and the common people are getting its benefits, he said, adding that Tripura has now transformed from a performing state to a front runner state.
A conference of chief secretaries of states was held in New Delhi in December last year to finalize the outline and plan for a developed India. It was also decided to hold workshops in the states to apprise the administrative officials of the states about the issues discussed in the conference held in New Delhi. As part of this, a district-level workshop was organized with the administrative officers of the four districts of Tripura at Rajarshi Hall in Udaipur on Tuesday.
Chief Secretary J K Sinha, Secretary of Industry and Commerce Department Kiran Gitte, Secretary of Urban Development and Rural Development Department Abhishek Singh, Secretary of Science Technology and Environment Department Dr. K Shashi Kumar, Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and others were present in the conference.
