The state government has sanctioned Rs 30 Crore for six development projects in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
Announcing the decision, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that various project proposals from the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) have recently been received in the Tribal Welfare Department, Govt. of Tripura.
“The State Government has been sanctioning funds from its budgetary sources and under different development schemes of the Union and the State Governments to the TTAADC for carrying out development activities for improving infrastructure, livelihood, education, healthcare and overall well-being of tribal communities in the sixth schedule areas, fostering an inclusive growth, expanding economic opportunities and strengthening livelihood”, said Dr Saha.
The Chief Minister said that out of the project proposals received from the TTAADC, the following projects, estimated at Rs 30 crore, are considered to be vital in addressing different developmental needs and up-liftment of tribal areas under the TTAADC, and accordingly they may be funded by the State Government from state resources.
The projects includes extension of Kherengbar CHC and operationalization of Mobile Medical Unit, Improvement of road Khumulwng–Belbari road to Kherengber CHC via Khumulwng stadium, Construction of Auditorium Building at Garia Academy, Atharabula, Killa, Gomati district, Construction of Mini Stadium with Grand Stand at TTAADC area, Construction of boundary wall for ZDO Office and Maintenance of Rajkandi ST Girl’shostel under Unakoti District, construction of RCC roofed school building at Saikar JB school, Maharani Sub-Zone under Dhalai Zone with TTAADC; Construction of RCC roofed school building at Maniram ParaJB school, Manu Sub-Zone under Dhalai Zone; and Construction of double-storied market shed at Rajkandi market, Rajkandi Sub-Zone under Unokati Zone with TTAADC during the year 2024-25.
