The Agriculture Minister, Ratan Lal Nath announced on Friday that the state government is actively pursuing a comprehensive plan for the overall development of the state with a primary focus on enhancing infrastructure and improving the standard of living for its citizens.
During a discussion meeting held in Mohanpur under West District, Minister Nath emphasized that the central government's vision for a new India has prompted similar initiatives at the state level including the ‘Ek Tripura-Unnanta Tripura’ project. Development programs and infrastructure projects are now underway in all districts, sub-divisions and blocks across the state. In Mohanpur a two-story market stall has already been completed and construction of an upscale town hall is in progress. Additionally various school buildings are under construction in the Mohanpur subdivision. Three gyms have been completed with plans for five more. The synthetic football field in Mohanpur has been finished with a budget of Rs 5 crores allocated for its construction. Furthermore, the public library in Mohanpur is nearing completion.
Minister Nath, who also serves as the MLA of Mohanpur Assembly Constituency, highlighted the government's efforts to enhance the communication infrastructure in the Mohanpur sub-division.
"The construction of the Bailey Bridge in Mohanpur is in its final stages and is expected to be completed soon. This project comes at a cost of 3 crore rupees. A robust communication system is pivotal for the overall development of the area," stated Minister Nath.
The discussion meeting was attended by TTAADC Executive Member Runiel Debbarma, Mohanpur Municipal Council Chairperson Anita Debnath, Vice Chairperson Shankar Deb, Lefunga BAC Chairman Ranbir Debbarma and officials from the Public Works Department. Subhash Dutta, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Mohanpur Sub-Division delivered the welcome address.
