Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday inaugurated Lavarthi Parivar Maha Sammelan here at Agartala Rabindra Bhavan and said that his government is working diligently to enhance the socio-economic status of the people of Tripura.
“The main thrust of the development of the state government is to extend the benefits of developmental schemes of both the Centre and state to the people living in the most marginalized areas,” Dr. Saha said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is implementing the vision of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay to deliver the benefits of development to the last person of the society.
He said, “Government is also continuously working to improve the socio-economic condition of the people under the direction of the Prime Minister. The country is gradually reaching the peak of development and that was reflected in the recently held G-20 summit in Delhi.”
Referring to the issue of women empowerment, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has tried to take the women of the country to the forefront. The state government is also implementing various schemes to make women self-reliant, he added.
Secretary of the Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, Director of Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission Prasad Rao Vadarapu, Mayor of AMC Dipak Majumder and others were present in the programme.
