In his two days long visit to the Unakoti district of the state, Governor Indrasena Reddy on Thursday morning inspected various developmental works in Kailashahar.
Governor inspected the newly constructed Tertiary Waste Treatment plant in the abandoned Sonamukhi Tea Garden of the sub-division on Thursday morning, where he was briefed about the function of the plant. He then visited the Deep Tube Well Centre at Samarurpar Gram Panchayat, which was constructed under a government’s water project.
He also made his visit to various parts of the subdivision and enquired about the implementation of government schemes. Earlier on Wednesday last the Governor chaired a meeting with the DM of Unakoti district Rajib Dutta and officials of the administration in the Circuit House of Kailashahar on Wednesday, where he discussed the status of the execution of various government schemes in the district.
He was accompanied by his secretary U K Chakma, District Magistrate of Unakoti district Rajib Dutta, Kailasahar SDM Pradip Sarkar, District Chief Health Officer Dr. Shankha Shubra Debnath, District Education Officer Prashant Kilkdar and other administrative officials of the subdivision.
