Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Friday visited the Gomati district of the state and chaired a meeting with the District Magistrate & Collector and other District level officers of the Gomati District at the Conference Hall of the Gomati Zilla Parishad.
DM Tarit Kanti Chakma, district police superintendent Namit Pathak, district level officials of various departments, SDM of different sub-districts and BDOs of different blocks were present in the meeting.
During the meeting Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu enquired about various central and state government development projects implemented in Gomti district and emphasized on regular monitoring of the implementation of the developmental programme in the district.
Governor said that the benefits of the schemes should be highlighted so that the people of the state, including the senior citizens, can get the benefits of the central and state government schemes properly.
In the development of the rural economy, more importance should be given to agriculture and agriculture-related sectors, he said, adding that agriculture, livestock development and fisheries can play a role in helping people in rural areas become self- reliant.
