High Court CJ directs for repatriation of B’desh inmates in juvenile home

AGARTALA:

The High Court Chief Justice T Amarnath Goud, Thursday visited the inmates in the juvenile home here at Agartala Narshingarh.

Goud was accompanied by the officials while he visited the juvenile home to take stock of the situation of the available arrangements being made for the inmates in the home.

During his surprise visit, Justice Goud expressed his concern over the number of inmates from neighbouring Bangladesh in the juvenile home. He instructed the officials to take necessary initiatives over repatriating the inmates to their motherland by taking up the issue with the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission office at Agartala.

He advised the Juvenile Home authorities to arrange regular counseling for the juveniles by trained counselors.

CJ Goud inspected the amenities such as food, lodging and recreation meant for the inmates. He also talked with some inmates to enquire about their problems.
