Tripura along with the rest of the nation on Friday observed Mahaparinirvan Diwas to commemorate the 69th death anniversary of the principal architect of the Indian Constitution Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
The state SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das paid floral tribute to the statue of Ambedkar here at Agartala Ujjayanta Palace premise on Friday. West Tripura Zilla Parishad President Balai Goswami, MLA Meena Rani Sarkar, Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Manika Das Dutta, Secretary of Scheduled Caste Welfare Department Deepa D Nair and others also paid tribute to Ambedkar to mark the day.
Addressing the event, Minister Sudhangshu Das highlighted the contribution of Ambedkar in shaping India's democratic framework. He also emphasized the importance of continuing Dr. Ambedkar's mission of social justice and empowerment for all.
