In a significant triumph against narcotics, the Rajnagar PRbari police station, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF) of No. 200 battalion, achieved yet another successful operation by raiding a residence and seizing a staggering 70 kilograms of dry cannabis. The operation was executed based on a tip-off received the previous day, resulting in the arrest of the alleged kingpin behind the operation.
Acting on the credible information provided by an anonymous source, law enforcement swiftly swung into action. The Rajnagar PRbari police station was informed of a potential stockpile of illegal substances at the residence of Deepak Das, a resident of Indira Nagar village in Kamalapur, within the jurisdiction of Rajnagar block.
Under the leadership of Officer in Charge (OC) Ratan Ravi Das and Inspector Ratan Ravi Das, a joint team comprised of diligent police officers and the vigilant personnel of No. 200 battalion of the Border Security Force, carried out a meticulously planned operation. The team executed a swift and efficient raid on Deepak Das' residence, culminating in the discovery of a staggering 70 kg of dry ganja (cannabis).
The breakthrough operation not only led to the significant seizure but also led to the apprehension of Deepak Das himself. The alleged drug dealer was promptly taken into custody and escorted to the Rajnagar PRbari police station for further legal proceedings.
Ratan Rabi Das, the OC of Rajnagar PR Bari police station, emphasized the crucial role that community cooperation and timely information played in the operation's success. He stated, "The collaborative efforts of our police force and the Border Security Force, along with the invaluable tip-off, have once again proven our commitment to eradicating the menace of narcotics from our society."
Following the seizure and arrest, authorities wasted no time in registering a case against Deepak Das under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police are poised to bring the accused drug dealer before the Belonia court, where they will seek a remand for further investigation.
