In a heartbreaking incident in the Gamaibari area under Teliamura police station, Bimal Das, a 38-year-old laborer tragically drowned while bathing in a nearby pond.
According to reports, today, like any other day, Bimal had gone to bath in the pond close to his residence. Unfortunately, he submerged under the water during his bath.
Local sources revealed that after some time, other people noticed Bimal's absence and eventually found his lifeless body submerged in the water.
Prompt action from the community led to Bimal being rescued from the pond and rushed to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. Despite efforts to revive him, the attending doctor declared him deceased upon arrival.
