Alarmed by the long pending demand of the authority of the Agartala Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan School, the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder visited the school premise to find an infrastructural crisis of the school.
The Mayor was accompanied by the AMC Commissioner Dr. Sailesh Kumar Yadav, Chairman of AMC Central Zone Ratna Dutta and others.
“During the visit we have found that there is no boundary wall in the school and there is a lack drainage system in the school, following which the nearby household wastages are being passed by the school premise, which of course is not acceptable,” he said, adding that the AMC will take appropriate measures by taking over the issue. He also alleged that the school is lacking a proper environment for midday meal cooking.
He however assured construction of a proper drainage system and boundary wall of the school after demarcation.
