The BJP candidate for the 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency Dipak Majumder on Friday made his first door-to-door campaign and sought vote blessing for the ensuing by-election.
During his campaign, Mayor Dipak Majumder drew an impressive response from the voters. “I have been getting a massive response from the people of Ramnagar. There has been massive development in the past years in the constituency after the BJP came to power,” he told reporters.
Dipak Majumder was nominated as the BJP’s candidate for the ensuing by-elections to 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency, which is left vacant due to the demise of MLA Surajit Datta. He filed his nomination paper on March 27 last to contest against CPI(M) candidate Ratan Das.
He said, “People of Ramnagar were deprived of basic facilities for a long time during the Left regime. But later with Surajit Datta as the MLA, people of Ramnagar witnessed massive development. I will surely work for more development to the constituency and finish the pending works for the welfare of the people of Ramnagar.”
He believed that people of 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency will put their trust in him and make him win the election.
