Mayor Dipak Majumder of Agartala Municipal Corporation, accompanied by Commissioner Shailesh Yadav and other officials conducted an inspection at GB Bazar area to address the ongoing road and drainage works. This inspection comes ahead of his oath-taking as MLA of the 7 Ramnagar Assembly Constituencies.
The inspection revealed that despite the commencement of road widening works in 2023, progress had stalled due to certain shopkeepers failing to vacate their premises as agreed. Mayor Majumder personally engaged with the traders of GB market to resolve these issues promptly.
In his statement, Mayor assured the residents and business owners that efforts would be intensified to complete the road widening in GB Bazar area without further delay. Additionally, plans were announced to construct covered drains along the sides of the road to enhance infrastructure and mitigate future issues.
"I have personally spoken to the traders of GB market to ensure cooperation in completing the road widening project swiftly. We are committed to addressing the challenges and delivering on our promises to improve the infrastructure," Mayor Majumder stated during the inspection.
