Mayor Majumder envisions the transformation of Battala market into a modern hub and discussions with the market committee are already underway. A detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared in collaboration with the market committee to outline the steps needed for the market's modernization.
Highlighting the importance of cooperation, Mayor Majumder expressed optimism that the market committee would collaborate seamlessly with the city corporation in this ambitious endeavor.
“The work has started so that the affected traders of Battala market can start their business quickly. The list of affected businessmen has already been submitted to AMC. The list of names will be verified. Battala market will be converted into a modern market in discussion with the market committee. DPR will be prepared to make the Battala market a modern market in consultation with the market committee”, he said
