In an unfortunate turn of events, the Agartala-bound Tripura Sundari Express from Delhi experienced a mechanical breakdown at Khayerpur area in Agartala before reaching Agartala Railway Station, causing significant disruptions for passengers.
The incident occurred this morning when the train got stranded in the Khayerpur Daspara area due to a mechanical problem, leaving commuters stranded from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
The breakdown not only inconvenienced passengers on the stranded train but also caused a ripple effect, affecting the timely departure of other long-distance trains from the station.
Passengers on board the Tripura Sundari Express faced difficulties in reaching their destinations, with the prolonged delay prompting some to seek alternative transportation. Auto drivers, upon learning of the situation, rushed to the spot and provided assistance to stranded passengers, albeit at elevated fares.
The unexpected delay caused frustration among travelers, disrupting their plans and schedules. Additionally, the station itself faced challenges in managing the situation and facilitating the timely departure of other trains.
After a period of initial repairs, the Tripura Sundari Express eventually resumed its journey and reached its destination. However, the incident highlights the vulnerabilities of the rail infrastructure and the challenges faced by passengers during unforeseen mechanical issues.
