Tripura BJP Mahila Morcha President, Mimi Majumder, asserted that women will be pivotal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, aiming to secure two seats for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP from the state. With two Lok Sabha constituencies, West and East Tripura, in focus, Majumder led the inaugural state committee meeting at the State BJP office in Agartala.
Gathering 49 members of the state committee, leaders convened from across Tripura to strategize for the impending polls. Majumder expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to national development and highlighted his efforts towards women's empowerment since assuming office.
Underlining Modi's introduction of various empowerment schemes, including the distribution of ration shops among women in Tripura during his tenure, Majumder outlined the agenda to discuss strategies for a 10% surge in votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The objective is to secure Modi's return as the Prime Minister of India. Majumder exuded confidence in the significant role women would play in achieving this goal and emphasized outreach efforts targeting diverse segments of the population through government schemes.
