The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday chaired a review meeting with the officials of the state power department and Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) here at Agartala and took stock of power failures across the state.
The minister assessed the power failure situation through video conference with the Additional General Manager and Deputy General Managers across the state.
During the review meeting, the minister directed the officials to ensure restoration of power service across the state by Wednesday night. He also asked to deploy additional manpower if required.
“I express my regret for the suffering of the people of the state due to the interruption of electricity service in the post- cyclone-rain situation,” Nath said, claiming that within a very short span of time the electricity service of the entire state will be operational as before.
