Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday chaired the general body meeting of the West Tripura Zilla Parishad here in the conference hall of the West District Magistrate and sought cooperation from all government departments for overall development of the state.
“For overall development of the state there should be a cordial relation and cooperation between the representatives of the 3-tier panchayats and various government departments,” Chowdhury said, adding that the public representatives and government employees play a key role in implementing various developmental plans of the state government for the welfare of the people of the state.
Members of West Tripura Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti Chairman, officials of various departments and BDOs of various blocks were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the officials of Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency said that steps have been taken to electrify farmers' land for irrigation under PM Kusum project. Social Education Inspector of West Tripura District said that approval has been received from the District Magistrate of West Tripura District for the development of infrastructure of 34 Anganwadi Centers in West District.
Meanwhile, the Additional General Manager of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. said that 2,144 people have been enrolled in PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the West district. So far this project has been implemented in 130 houses, he said.
