In a heartbreaking turn of events, the lifeless body of twenty-year-old housewife Jayanti Debnath has been discovered under a bridge in the Baldakhal area of the capital. The grim discovery was made as fishermen were casting their lines in the waters of the Howrah river, stumbling upon the tragic scene and promptly alerting the authorities.
The East Agartala police station had received a missing person report for Jayanti Debnath on Sunday, filed by her spouse, Chandan Debnath. Tragically, just a day later, on Monday afternoon, the fishermen's routine excursion turned into a somber event as they spotted Jayanti's body adrift in the river.
Upon the arrival of the East Agartala Police Station and Bodhjung Nagar Police Station officials, Chandan Debnath was informed of the distressing discovery. With a heavy heart, he confirmed the identity of the deceased, his young wife, who leaves behind a two-year-old daughter.
According to her husband, Jayanti had been battling nerve-related health issues since giving birth to their child. Despite seeking medical attention and following doctors' advice diligently, her condition persisted. On the morning of her disappearance, she had expressed a desire to leave the house due to her ongoing nervous problems. However, she was unable to do so and went about her daily routine, eventually vanishing after a visit to the restroom.
