The Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Narayan Rane on Monday said that the Union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing necessary support to build a self-reliant India as well as Tripura to build a self-reliant state.
Addressing a press conference here at Agartala Pragna Bhawan on Monday, Rane said, “In the next three years the average per capita income of Tripura state is likely to be Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.”
“The central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is implementing various public welfare projects for the development of each state in the North Eastern region. The central government wants the average per capita income of each state to increase,” he told reporters.
The Union Minister said that various developmental policies are being adopted by the central government in a positive attitude towards the overall development of the North Eastern region. “In 2022-23 financial year, 76 thousand crore rupees projects have been provided for the development of 8 states of the North Eastern region. Various projects are being implemented at a fast pace in the state of Tripura as well,” he said, adding that funds for each project are being fully spent properly with transparency.
He said that the central and state governments are also taking various initiatives to improve tourism in Tripura. From the expansion of the communication system to construction of hotels, development of tourist places in the state, the central and state governments have taken special initiatives, he said.
The Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar and Special Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department Abhishek Chandra were also present at the press conference.
