Motha chief Pradyot announces to intensify movement for ‘Greater Tipraland’

AGARTALA:

In the backdrop of the repeated postponement of the visit of an interlocutor appointed by the central government to deal the problems of tribals in Tripura and the demand for a constitutional solution to the tribals, the TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman on Saturday chaired a meeting with the MLAs, MDCs and Ems of the TTAADC here at Ujjayanta Palace and decided to restructure the party and its frontal organisations in the next 20-25 days to intensify movement.

The party has decided to intensify movement for ‘Greater Tipraland’, constitutional solution for the tribals of Tripura, Kokborok’s script, ADC village committee polls, customary laws and land bills, said Pradyot.

Soon after ending the meeting on Saturday, he said that the party will be fully restructured from the primary, block, central and core committee levels.

“Time has come for us to speak for our people who have chosen us. We have told our MLAs and MDCs that nothing would be fulfilled by sitting at home anymore,” he told reporters.
