MP for West Tripura parliamentary constituency Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday met the Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishaw in Delhi and discussed the issues related to enhancing the railway connectivity in Tripura.
The discussion mainly included conversion of existing Single Line Rail Track from Badarpur to Sabroom into Double Line and various key rail infrastructure issues concerning Tripura.
The discussions also included plans for modernizing stations such as Agartala, Dharmanagar, Kumarghat, and Udaipur under the Amrit Bharat scheme. Transforming Badharghat station into a world-class facility, establishing industrial rail links, and improving the Jirania yard were among the proposals.
The Railway Minister assured that these demands would be given priority and addressed with sincerity.
