The Khowai District Disha Committee meeting was held today at the conference hall of the District Magistrate's Office, presided over by MP Kriti Devi Debbarman. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of various central and state government projects being implemented by different departments in the district.
During the meeting, MP Kriti Devi Debbarman emphasized the importance of completing the ongoing development projects within the stipulated time frame. She stressed the need to raise awareness among beneficiaries to ensure they can fully utilize the benefits of the schemes. Additionally, she urged officials to expedite solutions for drinking water scarcity in affected areas.
The meeting featured detailed PowerPoint presentations on projects under several departments, including drinking water, agriculture, health, construction, livestock development, rural development, education, social welfare, and social education.
Prominent attendees at the meeting included MLA Ranjit Debbarma, ADC Executive Member Kamal Kalai, Khowai Zilla Parishad Assistant President Satyendra Chandra Das, Teliamura Municipal Council Chairperson Rupak Sarkar, Khowai Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tinku Bhattacharya, Teliamura Panchayat Samiti Chairman Deepa Deb, Teliamura BAC Chairman Bhanlal Rangkhal, Mungiakami BAC Chairman Sunil Debbarma, Padmabil BAC Chairman Prashanta Debbarma, Khowai District Magistrate Rajat Pant, and other senior officials.
The discussions focused on accelerating development initiatives, ensuring efficient implementation, and addressing key challenges faced by the district. The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to work towards the timely execution of developmental projects for the welfare of the people of Khowai.
