Aiming to continue to cover children and adolescents 0-19 years of age, aims to help children and adolescents stay healthy, improve their nutrition status, physical/cognitive ability, and also control anaemia, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday launched the state level Mukhyamantri Susthyo Shoishab, Sustho Koishore Abhiyan 7.0 health drive in a function at Ambassa in Dhalai district of the state.
Addressing the launching event, the Chief Minister, who also holds the health portfolio said that the Tripura government aims to bring 11.36 lakh children under the ambitious Mukhyamantri Susthyo Shoishab, Sustho Koishore Abhiyan.
He said that last year, 97.97 percent of children and adolescents in the state were brought under the campaign.
Around 12 health services will be provided in this campaign, including anti-fungal medicine, iron and folic acid supplements, vitamin A tablets, tetanus and diphtheria vaccination to ensure 100 percent good health of children and adolescents aged 0-19 years, he said.
He further said that apart from health centers, health workers will go door to door from schools, universities, tea gardens, orphanages to make this campaign successful.
