Offer letters to 50 Agri officers before Panchayat polls: Ratan

Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced today that before the Panchayat polls, the government will hand over offer letters to 59 Agriculture Officers.

Speaking with reporters, Minister Nath said, “We have a shortage of agriculture officers in the department. A few months back, we requested the TPSC to fill 60 posts and after the exam 59 officers qualified as agriculture officers.”

He mentioned that among the 59 officers, 18 are from West Tripura, 13 from South Tripura, 11 from Khowai, 8 from Gomati, 3 each from Sepahijala and North Tripura, 2 from Dhalai, and 1 from Unakoti. Nath also stated that 33% of the positions were reserved for women, resulting in 21 female candidates being selected.

“We will issue the offer letters as soon as possible. After receiving approval from the Chief Minister, we will distribute the offer letters before the Panchayat polls,” he said.
