AD Nagar police have achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing anti-drug drive, successfully seizing a large quantity of brown sugar and Eskuf in a raid conducted on a residential property. Acting on a secret tip-off, the police arrested the house owner, identified as Biplab De, during the operation.
According to AD Nagar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bijoy Das, the raid was carried out at Biplab De’s residence, located in the Gajaria Camp market area under the jurisdiction of Arundhati Nagar police station. Authorities had received intelligence indicating that Biplab De was involved in drug trafficking, supplying narcotics to the local populace.
"Based on the secret information, we conducted a raid and successfully recovered a substantial quantity of Eskuf and brown sugar. The estimated market value of the seized drugs is over one lakh rupees," OC Bijoy Das informed reporters.
Following the operation, Biplab De was taken into custody and legal proceedings have been initiated against him. Law enforcement officials have reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating drug-related activities in the region, emphasizing that strict action will be taken against those involved in such illegal activities.
The AD Nagar police have urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities by reporting any suspicious activities in their localities. Further investigations into the case are underway to uncover potential links to a broader drug network.
