Border Security Force deployed in Tripura has detained one Bangladeshi national and one India tout from Rajnagar under South District.
As per BSF press release, on 17th July based on specific information a special operation was launched in which BSF apprehended one Bangladeshi national near the Border Fence.
Name of the Bangladeshi national is Amir Haladar (29) and resident of Madaripur of Bangladesh. Interrogation of the apprehended BD national is in progress.
The BSF further said that in another joint operation with sister agency, in the intervening night of 17th and 18th July, one Indian tout Ismail Hossain was arrested from Rajnagar (South Tripura).
“Arrested tout was actively involved in human trafficking and infiltration of Bangladeshi and Rohingya into India. He was also involved in providing shelter and logistics. He is being questioned by BSF. BSF has stepped up its drive against infiltrators and touts to break the nexus in the border state of Tripura”, the press release reads.
