Over 13 lakh voters to cast vote in East Parliamentary seats,

Over 13 lakh eligible electors will cast their vote in 1654 polling stations that were set up in East Tripura (ST) Parliamentary Constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The election for East Tripura (ST Reserved) will be held on April 26 this year.

According to a report, the parliamentary constituency has 30 Assembly Constituencies across 6 districts including all assembly constituencies of Dhalai, North, Unakoti , Khowai and 4 ACs of South Tripura and 3 ACs of Gomati.

“The total number of voters are 13,95,089 including 7,01,708 male, 6,93,365 female, 16 are transgender, and service voters are 4349. They will cast their votes in 1654 polling stations”, said the official.

He said that all the polling stations will have assured minimum facilities like Drinking Water, electricity, toilets, ramp, wheel chair, all polling stations will be under CCTV surveillance.

“For all kinds of MCC violation and other complaints action to be taken within 100 minutes, anonymous complaint, 24x7 district level control room is setup with flying squads on the ground”, said the official.
