Over 6k cannabis sapling destroyed by Police, BSF

AGARTALA:

In a significant victory against illegal narcotics Tripura Police of PR Bari police station, in collaboration with BSF No. 69 and personnel from the Rajnagar forest department successfully conducted a two-hour anti-cannabis operation.

The operation, led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ratan Rabi Das of PR Bari police station commenced at 5:30 am on Monday and concluded at 7:00 am. During the raid a staggering six to six and a half thousand cannabis plants were meticulously cut and subsequently burnt, marking a severe blow to the illicit drug trade in the region.

OC emphasized the commitment to eradicating illegal narcotics, stating, "Such operations will continue in the coming days as we remain steadfast in our mission to eliminate the menace of marijuana from our community."
